Ukraine's General Staff reports strike on checkpoint in Russia's Bryansk Oblast

The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched an airstrike on the Pogar border checkpoint near Sluchovsk in Russia's Bryansk Oblast on 27 March. Launches of Russian UAVs have been recorded numerous times from that location.

Quote: "As a result of the attack, the military infrastructure of the checkpoint was destroyed, along with communications and electronic warfare equipment, as well as a video surveillance system and other technical devices. Preliminary information indicates that between 15 and 40 occupiers were killed.

This airstrike was a response to the cynical actions of the army of the aggressor state, which continues to wage terror against Ukraine by launching dozens of strike drones on a daily basis into populated areas, destroying civilian infrastructure and residential buildings, and killing Ukrainian citizens."

Details: The report noted that launches of Russian UAVs had been recorded multiple times from the Pogar location.

The destruction of this checkpoint reduces the potential for Russian troops to carry out military operations against units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Sumy Oblast and on the Kursk front.
