Self-proclaimed president of Belarus starts inspecting combat readiness of army

Self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has ordered to start testing the combat readiness of the country's armed forces, including shooting and the use of attack drones and aircraft.

Quote: "The personnel of one of the military units will have to carry out a set of measures to prepare equipment and weapons for training and combat missions, including loading material resources and moving to one of the training grounds of the Armed Forces.

Later, the units involved in the inspection will have to carry out measures on engineering equipment, camouflage, security, and defence measures in the designated area, as well as control firing from standard weapons."

Details: The report states that it is planned to use "both strike and reconnaissance UAVs, as well as aircraft" to "create a situation close to a combat situation".

Belarusians were warned that military equipment would be moving during the inspection.

Background: On 26 January, Alexander Lukashenko stated that Belarus would receive the Russian Oreshnik ballistic missile system from Russia very soon.
