Ukrainian military kill 15,000 Russian soldiers during 5 months of operation in Kursk Oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reported that Russian losses amount to more than 38,000 soldiers over five months of operations in Kursk Oblast, including approximately 15,000 killed.

Ukrainian forces captured 860 Russian soldiers during the operation, significantly replenishing the prisoner-of-war swap pool."

Details: The General Staff noted that the Kursk operation aimed to prevent a Russian offensive in Sumy Oblast and the creation of a "buffer zone".
