Oleksandr Spivakovskyi, the university's rector, stated that the attack destroyed the gallery of prior heads of Kherson State University, which has a 107-year history.

Quote from Oleksandr Spivakovskyi: "I know about Nazism from history. I feel the effects of Ruscism at my alma mater. Even in the gallery of rectors who have shaped its 107-year glory. But what matters most is people's lives."
