President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that elections in Ukraine will be possible only after the war's end or after legislation changes.

Quote: "That is, everyone in Ukraine understands that this (elections - ed.) cannot be done until the war is over or legislation needs to be changed. I believe that elections will take place immediately after the end of martial law. This is according to the law. Or members of the parliament need to get together and change legislation, which will be very difficult to do because society is against it."

Details: Zelenskyy explained that society is against holding elections because it is necessary to create an infrastructure for voting for 8.5 million Ukrainians who have moved abroad.

Quote: "Millions of people in the occupied territories. I am not even talking about the occupation of 2014. I am talking about the occupation right now. What to do with these people? This is a difficult question. And one of the most unfair ones is how to vote without having a million soldiers. That is, it is impossible."

Details: The president also noted that to hold elections during the war, it would be necessary to change the voting system, in particular, to consider the possibility of online voting. However, this idea raises concerns about potential cyberattacks and other threats.
