Quote: "North Korea. 12,000 have arrived [in the Russian Federation to join the war against Ukraine – ed.]. As of today, 3,800 have been killed or wounded.
They can bring 30,000-40,000 more. Or maybe 500 [thousand]. They can bring many people. Because they have an autocracy."
Details: Zelenskyy believes that Europe will not be able to "build an army consisting of 2-3 million people".
"There is no such purpose as gathering everyone – we do not want any war. We want to stop the Russians. And they invite North Korean soldiers. They themselves burn the faces [of those] who cannot escape, injured or killed," the Ukrainian president said.
He noted that Ukraine's military is the largest in Europe, comprising 980,000 personnel, followed by France, whose armed forces are approximately four times smaller, with about 200,000 members.
Background: On 23 December, Zelenskyy announced that based on early estimates, the number of North Korean soldiers killed and wounded in action in Russia's Kursk Oblast exceeds 3,000.
