For Ukraine, the implementation of these plans means, among other things, suspending the Paris Agreement for 10-20 years. It will be important to see how the Ukrainian population or our neighbours react to all this."

Details: The opposition German politician noted that one should be prepared "for the surprises of the election campaign".

Kiesewetter also said that "a meeting between Trump and Putin is currently scheduled for March" and "let everyone draw their own conclusion on this".

Reference: In his election campaign, Olaf Scholz positioned himself as a chancellor of peace" who advocates both support for Ukraine and negotiations with Russia and Putin personally to end the war.

The CDU, on the other hand, is leading in pre-election polls. It is believed that CDU leader Friedrich Merz has the best chance of becoming the next German Chancellor.
