Russians strike apartment building in Sumy Oblast: two young children injured – photos
A Russian guided aerial bomb has struck a residential building in Sumy Oblast’s Shostka district, injuring two children and three adults. More people may be trapped under the rubble.

The Russians dropped the bomb on an apartment building.
According to early reports, two children and one adult were injured. One section of the apartment block was demolished. An emergency rescue operation is underway. There may be people trapped underneath the rubble."
Update: The Sumy Oblast Prosecutor's Office later reported that the number of people injured has risen to five, including two children.
Quote: "According to the investigation, on 4 January 2025, at around 14:30, the enemy used methods of warfare prohibited by international law and dropped what early reports indicate were two guided aerial bombs on civilian infrastructure in the Svesa hromada in the Shostka district.
One means of destruction struck a five-storey residential building. The other targeted a nearby residential district.
Five civilians were injured in the enemy attack, including two children, a two-year-old girl and a two-year-old boy."
