Russia steps up terror in Kherson Oblast: number of attacks rose 1.5-fold in 2024
The frequency of Russian attacks on Kherson Oblast increased by half as much again in 2024 compared to 2023.

Details: Prokudin stressed that Russia is not abandoning its terror tactics against the residents of Kherson Oblast, but intensifying them.
In 2024, the number of attacks increased by one and a half times. The Russians fired 218,000 projectiles over the year, 63% more than in the previous year.
The number of civilian casualties has also risen. In 2024, 2,187 people were injured or killed in Russian attacks – over 200 more than in 2023.
In addition, Prokudin pointed out that drone attacks have emerged as a new and dangerous threat, with Russia actively targeting them against civilians since August 2024. In five months, Russian forces carried out about 12,000 drone attacks that have claimed the lives of 54 people and injured 609, including eight children.
