Quote from Metinvest: "The protection for the crew against fragmentation damage is made of 30KhN2MA grade steel, which inherently possesses enhanced properties of wear resistance, strength, toughness and resistance to mechanical stress."
More details: The armour consists of nearly 200 elements: plates of armoured steel up to eight mm thick that protect the air defence system’s control centre.
The armour's total weight exceeds 2.6 tonnes, but Metinvest says this "does not affect the system’s functionality or mobility".
