Russia loses 1,600 soldiers and over 400 units of weapons and equipment over past day

Russia has lost about 1,600 soldiers killed and wounded, 60 artillery systems, 23 armoured combat vehicles and 12 tanks over the past day.

Details: The total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February 2022 and 21 January 2025 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]:

• approximately 822,030 (+1,600) military personnel; 
• 9,833 (+12) tanks;
• 20,477 (+23) armoured combat vehicles;
• 22,134 (+60) artillery systems;
• 1,262 (+0) multiple-launch rocket systems;
• 1,050 (+1) air defence systems;
• 369 (+0) fixed-wing aircraft;
• 331 (+0) helicopters;
• 22,898 (+130) tactical and strategic UAVs;
• 3,051 (+0) cruise missiles;
• 28 (+0) ships/boats;
• 1 (+0) submarine;
• 34,682 (+194) vehicles and fuel tankers;
• 3,710 (+4) special vehicles and other equipment.
