Ukraine's Defence Intelligence destroys locomotive in St Petersburg that supplied Russian forces – video

On 18 January, Defence Intelligence of Ukraine set fire to a 3M62U locomotive at the Ruchi depot in St Petersburg which the Russians had been using for army logistics.

Quote: "The fire destroyed the entire control system."
Details: DIU officers reported the destruction of the locomotive, which had been used to pull railway cars loaded with munitions and supplies for Russian forces.
DIU says that due to the extensive fire damage, the locomotive is beyond repair.
Background:
- Unidentified individuals blew up a railway track in Russia’s Bryansk Oblast in the spring of 2023, causing a locomotive and freight cars to derail.
- On the night of 29-30 December, Ukrainian resistance forces caused severe damage to two Russian locomotives at Dmitrov station and Lobnya railway yard in Moscow Oblast. The locomotives had been due to be deployed to temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.
