Ukraine plans to expand Grain from Ukraine programme

Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and Agriculture Minister Vitalii Koval have agreed to coordinate efforts to scale up the Grain from Ukraine programme, transforming it into Food from Ukraine.

Details: The ministers have agreed on a common policy on the supply of food around the world going forward.

Quote from Sybiha: "At the request of the President of Ukraine, we are scaling up the Grain from Ukraine initiative into Food from Ukraine, expanding the range of Ukrainian products and the destinations supplied, together with our partners."

Details: Ukraine recently shipped nearly 416 tonnes of sunflower oil to Mozambique as part of the Grain from Ukraine initiative. It is due to arrive in early February.

Another 73.4 tonnes of oil and 970.5 tonnes of flour will be sent to Djibouti at the end of January, while Tanzania will shortly receive 453 tonnes of sunflower oil.
