Germany prepares substantial aid packages for Ukraine with IRIS-T, tanks and infantry fighting vehicles – media
In the first half of 2025, Germany plans to provide Ukraine with significant military aid packages, including Leopard tanks, Marder infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) and other weaponry.

Details: Germany is geared up to deliver 22 Leopard 1 tanks, 25 Marder infantry fighting vehicles, and an additional IRIS-T SLM/SLS air defence system.
The package will also include 16 howitzers, two additional Patriot air defence launchers, seven Gepard anti-aircraft systems, and 120,000 rounds of ammunition.
Ukraine will also receive 3,500 Helsing strike drones, six Sea King helicopters, and 250,000 artillery shells.
The aid package will also comprise various other equipment and weaponry for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
