Ukrainian air defences destroy 33 Russian drones in 11 oblasts overnight
Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 72 Shahed-type loitering munitions and various types of decoy drones on the night of 9-10 January. Ukrainian air defence units have destroyed 33 UAVs, while a further 34 Russian decoy drones disappeared from radar, with one changing course and heading towards Russia.

Details: The Air Force Command reported that Russian forces had launched the drones from areas of the Russian cities of Millerovo, Oryol, Bryansk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
The aerial attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's Air Force and defence forces.
As of 09:00, 33 Shahed loitering munitions and other types of drones are confirmed to have been shot down in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia and Kherson oblasts.
Five strikes were recorded on businesses and outbuildings in a frontline area in the north of Chernihiv Oblast, resulting in one civilian injury.
Wreckage from a UAV crashed into an apartment block in Kyiv Oblast, damaging the building and around 20 cars. Early reports indicate no casualties.
