Ukraine secures record US$9.2 billion in international aid in December

Ukraine secured US$9.2 billion in international financial assistance in December 2024.

Details: Yaroslav Zhelezniak, First Deputy Head of Ukrainian Parliament’s Tax Committee, noted that the US$9.2 billion figure represents a record level of international support. The last time aid exceeded US$9 billion in a single month was in April of last year.

Over the entire year of 2024, Ukraine received more than US$41.7 billion, including US$12.6 billion in grants, which do not require repayment.
Quote: "The European Union, the US, Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom, the IMF and the World Bank were the largest donors to our state this year," Shmyhal said.
