Details: The number of civilian casualties in September reached its highest level since July 2022. This increase is attributed to intensified Russian attacks in Donetsk Oblast and the use of guided aerial bombs and drones.
The UN recorded 93% of these casualties in areas under the control of the Ukrainian government, particularly in Donetsk, Kharkiv and Kherson oblasts, where the intensity of hostilities remains the highest.
"Behind each of the facts and figures in this report are stories of loss and human suffering, showing the devastating impact of the war across Ukraine," emphasised Danielle Bell, Head of the Monitoring Mission.
