Zelenskyy appoints new head of Security Service Counterintelligence Department

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Andrii Tupikov as head of the Counterintelligence Department of the Security Service.

Source: Presidential Decree No. 900/2024

Quote: "Andrii Anatoliiovych Tupikov shall be appointed as head of the Counterintelligence Department of the Security Service of Ukraine."

Details: Previously, this position was held by Oleksandr Poklad, who was transferred to the position of Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine in August 2023.

For reference: Tupikov is a major in the Ministry of Internal Affairs who in 2015 was awarded the Order of Danylo Halytskyi for personal courage and heroism demonstrated in defending the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and loyalty to the military oath during combat operations and while performing official duties.
