Russian  troops have developed a traffic light system capable of warning about FPV drone flights.

Details: The traffic lights are installed on poles near key routes for equipment movement. The system operates with three functions: no FPV detected, FPV nearby and FPV far away.

This setup allows Russian forces to be alerted about the presence of FPV drones, the outlet notes.

Militarnyi suggests that the traffic light likely functions similarly to an infantry detector, which features a frequency range analyzer designed for the early detection of FPV drones.

It is also possible that the detector is manually operated by an operator who adjusts the signal based on the situation.

Additionally, the pole-mounted detector might include a sound analyzer to identify drones by the noise of their engines.

The sound analyzer could also help detect drones controlled via fiber optics.

Given the increasing use of various types of drones, the deployment of such detection systems has become crucial for enhancing the capabilities of both sides in the war, Militarnyi reports.
