President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he will contact the outgoing President of the United States, Joe Biden, to address the matter of inviting Ukraine to join NATO.

Quote: "By the way, I'm going to call President Biden in the near future, if he has the opportunity, to talk with me and raise the issue of an invitation to join NATO, because he is now the current president of the United States and much depends on his position."

Details: According to Zelenskyy, it is "difficult to speak" with US President-elect Donald Trump because he has not yet taken his position and does not have "all of these legal rights."

"And it makes no sense to discuss with President Trump that, while today he is not in the White House, it does not depend on him," Zelenskyy told reporters.
