Russia loses another 1,220 soldiers and 18 armoured fighting vehicles over one day

Ukraine's defence forces continue to inflict losses on Russia. Over the past day alone, Russia lost 1,220 personnel killed and wounded, three artillery systems and 18 infantry fighting vehicles.

Details: The total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February 2022 and 9 December 2024 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]:

• approximately 754,590 (+1,220) military personnel;
• 9,519 (+0) tanks;
• 19,589 (+18) armoured combat vehicles;
• 21,061 (+3) artillery systems;
• 1,253 (+0) multiple-launch rocket systems;
• 1,023 (+0) air defence systems;
• 369 (+0) fixed-wing aircraft;
• 329 (+0) helicopters;
• 20,093 (+22) tactical and strategic UAVs;
• 2,859 (+2) cruise missiles;
• 28 (+0) ships/boats;
• 1 (+0) submarine;
• 30,989 (+24) vehicles and fuel tankers;
• 3,636 (+1) special vehicles and other equipment.
