Ukraine's defence minister promises 30,000 long-range drones for Ukrainian forces in 2025
In 2025, Ukrainian defenders are set to receive 30,000 drones designed for long-range strikes.

Quote from Umierov: "Our defenders will receive over 30,000 Deep Strike drones as part of the President's Resilience Plan in 2025. Our international partners, who invested in Ukraine's defence industry, have funded a portion of these UAVs."
Details: The defence minister highlighted that the UAVs in question are a new generation of drones capable of operating autonomously over long distances and striking targets with high precision.
Umierov noted that some of these drones had been financed by international partners through investments in the Ukrainian defence industry.
Background: In 2024, Ukraine's Defence Procurement Agency (DPA) signed contracts and made advances for UAH 20 billion [approx. US$480.3 million] worth of DeepStrike long-range drones.
