Ukraine imposes sanctions on Georgia's pro-Russian authorities, former Dynamo player among them
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree imposing sanctions on Georgia's pro-Russian authorities, including billionaire and former Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili and his associates. A total of 19 individuals were sanctioned.

Quote from Zelenskyy: "I have just signed a decree that gives effect to the National Security and Defense Council's decision on sanctions. These sanctions target the part of the Georgian government that is surrendering Georgia to Putin."
"Ukraine has imposed sanctions on Ivanishvili and his accomplices – 19 individuals. They are the ones who are selling out the interests of Georgia and its people.
And we call on Europe, America and everyone in the world to do the same – to act with principle."
Details: Zelenskyy warned that a delayed or weak response could result in lost decades and nations deprived of their freedom: "We must not lose anyone in this region – neither Georgia, nor Moldova, nor Ukraine."
The Ukrainian leader called for a united effort to stand against Moscow.
Updated: Later, the President’s Office published the sanctions list, which includes Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and former Dynamo player Kakha Kaladze.

The sanctions will be in effect for ten years.
