Russian forces attack along the entire contact line, Ukrainian forces repel 168 attacks in one day – Ukraine's General Staff
Russian forces are attempting to attack Ukrainian positions along the entire contact line, with Ukrainian and Russian forces clashing a total of 168 times over the course of the past day. The situation is the most tense on the Pokrovsk, Lyman and Kurakhiv fronts.

Quote: "Yesterday [on 30 December], enemy forces deployed one missile to carry out a missile strike on the positions of Ukrainian units and civilian settlements. In addition, they attacked [Ukrainian positions and towns] nearly 4,500 times, including 198 times with multiple-launch rocket systems, and deployed 1,864 kamikaze drones."
Details: Ukraine’s Air Force and Rocket Forces and Artillery carried out four strikes on clusters of Russian military personnel and equipment, a Russian ammunition storage point and six other critical military facilities.
On the Kharkiv front, Ukrainian forces repelled two Russian assaults in the vicinity of Vovchansk and Lyptsi.
On the Kupiansk front, Russian forces undertook 16 assaults, with Ukrainian troops repelling Russian assaults near Holubivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Kruhliakivka and Zahryzove.
On the Lyman front, the Russian army carried out 22 attacks in an effort to advance near Kopanky, Nadiia, Novoiehorivka, Makiivka, Ivanivka and Terny.
On the Siversk front, the Russians conducted one attack in an effort to push the Ukrainian forces out of their positions in the vicinity of Bilohorivka.
On the Kramatorsk front, Russian forces carried out 12 assaults near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky.
On the Toretsk front, Russian forces carried out 12 assaults near Shcherbynivka and Toretsk.
On the Pokrovsk front, Ukraine’s defence forces repelled 40 Russian assault and offensive operations in the vicinity of Vozdvyzhenka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Zelene, Dachenske, Novyi Trud, Shevchenko, Vovkove, Novoolenivka and Novoielyzavetivka.
On the Kurakhove front, Ukrainian forces repelled 21 Russian attacks, with the Russians focusing their efforts on areas in the vicinity of Petropavlivka, Slovianka, Shevchenko and Kurakhove.
On the Vremivka front, Russian forces assaulted Ukrainian positions near Yantarne, Uspenivka, Vremivka and towards Kostiantynopol and Novosilka 17 times.
On the Orikhiv front, Russian forces made two attempts to advance towards Novoandriivka.
The Russians attacked Ukrainian positions on the Prydniprovsk front three times, meeting Ukrainian resistance and suffering losses.
Ukrainian forces repelled 17 Russian assaults in Russia’s Kursk Oblast.
Russian occupation forces stationed near the border with Ukraine’s Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts deployed artillery and drones to strike Ukrainian cities and towns.
