Russian media and Telegram channels reported a fire at an oil depot at dawn on 31 December following a UAV attack in Russia's Smolensk Oblast.

The district head reportedly confirmed the attack on a "fuel and energy infrastructure facility".
Russian Telegram channels claimed that residents of Yartsevo had heard over 10 explosions, after which a fire broke out near the oil depot.
Later, Smolensk Oblast Governor Vasily Anokhin confirmed that an oil depot in Yartsevo was on fire following what he claimed was an attack by Ukrainian drones.
