Zelenskyy: We have simplified obtaining officer ranks for soldiers and sergeants

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on 30 December that the process for soldiers and sergeants with combat experience to obtain officer ranks has been simplified.

Quote: "Today, an important decision was made to help our army become more modern and to apply the experience gained in defence operations during this war. We have simplified the process for soldiers and sergeants with combat experience to receive officer ranks. This is a proper mechanism for social advancement within the army."

Details: Zelenskyy also mentioned that the Armiia+ app [Army+, a Ukrainian mobile app that soldiers can use to send electronic reports to their commanders] has launched a survey regarding a military ombudsman. He asked every soldier and officer to share their views on the priorities for this initiative.
