Ukraine's export earnings increase by over 13% to US$41 billion in 2024 – Ministry of Economy
Ukraine's exports of goods increased by 13.4% in 2024, reaching US$41 billion, while the volume of exports in physical terms increased by 28.8% to 129.3 million tonnes.

Details: The main factor behind the export growth was the stabilisation of the Ukrainian seaports. While in 2023, 54.8 million tonnes of goods were exported by sea, in 2024, this figure rose to 87.2 million tonnes.
Goods transportation has changed not only in terms of quantity but also in terms of quality. Although the volume of road transport decreased by weight, the total value of goods transported by road increased to US$14.5 billion.
In 2023, Ukraine exported 100.3 million tonnes worth US$36.1 billion.
In 2024, the European Union remained Ukraine's key trading partner, with exports of goods worth US$24.5 billion (US$1 billion more than in 2023).
The main non-EU partners include China (US$2.3 billion), Türkiye (US$2.1 billion), Egypt (US$1.6 billion), India (US$986 million), and Moldova (US$935 million).
Sunflower oil became the leader in exports in 2024, with exports of over US$5 billion:
- Sunflower meal – US$1 billion
- Poultry meat – US$945 million
- Sugar – US$408 million
- Soybean oil – US$311 million
Metallurgical exports are reviving. In 2024, Ukraine exported:
- Semi-finished iron products worth US$927.5 million
- Hot-rolled steel – US$802 million
- Pig iron – US$500 million
- Pipe products – US$577 million
Raw materials also accounted for a significant portion of exports:
- Corn – US$4.9 billion
- Wheat – US$3.68 billion
- Iron ore – US$2.75 billion
- Soybeans – US$1.29 billion
Among other significant suppliers of products, Ukraine mentioned cable manufacturers (exports worth US$1.26 billion) and furniture (US$460.6 million).
