Russian propagandists have claimed that a pilot of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has surrendered in Russiaʼs Kursk Oblast. Ukraine’s Air Force immediately denied the claim.

Quote from the Air Force: "Russian propaganda media are spreading reports that a Ukrainian pilot has surrendered in Kursk Oblast.

Unfortunately, cases of servicemen who formerly served in the Air Force being captured do occur. However, the information about the capture of a Ukrainian pilot is fake. All Ukrainian pilots continue to perform tasks in defence of the country."

For reference: Pilots are a very important combat unit in the armed forces. It takes months and years to train them, as well as a huge amount of money.
