  • the mechanism for obtaining information about foreigners who are helping the military in the combat zone;
  • the content of the foreigner's application;
  • timeframes for consideration of the application by the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Internal Affairs;
  • confirmation by the commander of the military unit that such assistance has been provided;
  • a list of documents to be submitted to the State Migration Service.

"Thanks to the Government's decision, those foreign volunteers who are involved in providing firearms, tactical, radio, explosives, medical and other assistance will be more protected," said Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Brigadier General of Justice Serhii Melnyk.

He said that the resolution also strengthens the protection of foreigners who are directly in the combat zone and have been performing combat or military service tasks along with Ukrainian units for at least six months.
