Russian authorities sentenced a man to 22 years in prison for blowing up railway tracks in Crimea in the summer of 2023.

Details: The convict was also charged with allegedly preparing five terrorist attacks "on the instructions of Ukraine's intelligence".
In addition to prison, the man was fined RUB 1 million (approx. US$ 10,000).
Background: On the morning of 18 May, an explosion occurred on the railway in the Simferopol district in Crimea, causing five grain wagons to derail, and train traffic was suspended.
