The organisers said Sunday's meeting between the Slovak prime minister and Putin strengthens Russian influence and promotes cooperation with Russia through the issue of gas transit.

At the protest, the crowd shouted "traitor" at Fico.

Former prime ministers Igor Matovič and Eduard Heger, as well as opposition leaders, artists, and Ukrainian refugees attended the protest.

Representatives of the public association Peace for Ukraine report that Fico may have violated the law with his trip, as he is cooperating with Russia. Today, they will file a complaint with Slovakia's Prosecutor General's Office.

After the protest, the crowd chanted "Enough Fico" and "Glory to Ukraine".
