Quote: "The situation on the islands remains unchanged. The enemy undertakes daily reconnaissance and search operations to gauge our fortifications and weaponry. They are most active on Kozatskyi Island, but have recently increased their presence on Velykyi Potiomkynskyi Island."
Details: According to Voloshyn, the Russians use drones to strike, deploy army and assault aircraft, and unleash unguided air-to-surface missiles. Furthermore, taking advantage of the favourable weather conditions, Russian forces are attempting to conduct covert assault operations. However, Voloshyn stated that the Defence Forces have sufficient resources to detect the Russians.
Quote: "Every day, the enemy loses both personnel and amphibious vehicles. None of their attempts to secure a foothold on the islands in recent months have been successful. I believe the enemy is still preparing for small-scale infantry operations," the spokesperson said.
He also noted that Russian units are constantly replenishing their losses.
Quote: "They are constantly receiving reinforcements, vehicles and boats. According to our information, motorboat motors and other equipment arrived recently. However, their numbers remain unchanged," Voloshyn added.
At the same time, the Russians are continually preparing assault groups to overcome water obstacles, cross rivers, and conduct operations on the islands, the spokesperson noted.
