Details: The commander of Free Georgia, Badri Kvaratskhelia, was reported to have been killed in Kursk Oblast.

Background:

• A Georgian soldier wounded in Bakhmut died in November while undergoing treatment in France.
• In total, more than 60 volunteers from Georgia have been killed on the line of contact in Ukraine since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion.
• The Georgian Legion, which is fighting in Ukraine, recently had to deny Russian propaganda claims that it is planning to return to Georgia to take part in the protests.
