Details: The Ukrainian's WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO championship belts were on the line.
The early rounds saw a fairly even contest in the ring, with Fury resorting to dirty tactics and landing several punches to the back of Usyk's head.
In the championship rounds, Fury started using his full weight to wear down Usyk, attempting to further exhaust the Ukrainian, who weighed in 25 kg lighter.
Usyk was more active, but the fight remained highly competitive and went the full 12 rounds as scheduled.
As a result, all three judges unanimously awarded the victory to Usyk, with each scoring the fight 116-112.
Notably, Usyk's fee for the fight was US$104.5 million, while Fury earned US$84.5 million.
Background:
- In their first fight, held on 18 May this year in Riyadh, Usyk defeated Tyson by split decision.
- Unlike the first fight, the absolute heavyweight championship was not on the line, as Usyk vacated the IBF belt in the summer. The title is now held by British fighter Daniel Dubois.
