A commission from the Russian Ministry of Defence arrived at the 1196th Motorised Rifle Regiment, stationed in the occupied territory of Kherson Oblast, due to issues with poor discipline, Ukrainian partisan movement said.

Source: Atesh, a military partisan movement in the occupied territories of Ukraine, with reference to sources in the Russian military

Details: Atesh noted that the commission's visit is directly linked to the rising incidents of sabotage targeting Russian boats and the increasing number of suicides among the Russian military.

These incidents "undermine the discipline and combat capability of the units," and the Russian command views them as a serious threat.

The Russians are reportedly concerned that such issues could disrupt plans for their offensive on the right bank of Kherson Oblast, which remains under Ukrainian control.
