Details: Nakamitsu said most civilian casualties have been caused by Russia’s use of long-range weapons. Such attacks accounted for approximately 42% of civilian deaths and injuries in November, which is significantly higher than in previous months.
Nakamitsu also cited data from the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine for 2024. Russian aerial bombings killed 341 civilians and injured 1,803 others between 1 January and 30 November. These figures are three and six times higher, respectively, than last year’s numbers.
