Details: The Russians launched a combined attack on Kherson and surrounding settlements using tubed artillery and multiple rocket launchers. The attack went on for about an hour.
Prokudin said that in 40 minutes around 1,000 shells fell on Kherson alone, with hits in all districts of the city. The Kherson Oblast Military Administration noted that the Russians targeted residential areas and social and critical infrastructure.
Damage was caused to more than 30 high-rise buildings, 15 houses, cars, garages, outbuildings, a railway station, police stations, and medical and educational institutions.
Fires broke out almost everywhere. They have now been extinguished by the emergency services, Prokudin added.
Roman Mrochko, head of the city's military administration, said two men were killed and 11 people were injured.
Seven men and four women were diagnosed with blast injuries, shrapnel wounds and concussion. All of them have been hospitalised, and one is in a very serious condition.
