Portugal to preserve aid level to Ukraine in 2025 – Ukrainian defence minister

Ukraine's Defence Minister Rustem Umierov has had a telephone conversation with his Portuguese counterpart Nuno Melo about cooperation in the defence industry and aid to Ukraine.

Quote from Umierov: "We discussed with my counterpart [Nuno Melo] the prospects for cooperation in the defence industry. I suggested that Portugal should consider allocating funds to finance Ukrainian production in 2025. We agreed to hold consultations on the capabilities of our defence industry."

Details: The ministers also discussed cooperation on the supply of drones for the Ukrainian defence forces. They plan to meet in person in January at the next Ramstein meeting.
