Countries in the Maritime and Drone Capability Coalitions are set to begin supplying Ukraine with tens of thousands of drones of various types starting in January under the Ramstein format.

Details: The official noted that London continues to cooperate with the countries of the Ramstein format and not exclusively with them in order to increase the pace of arms supplies to Ukraine and increase the cost of war for Russia.

"I can confirm there will be a notable gear-shift in January, when we commence delivery of tens of thousands of drones through the Maritime and Drone Capability Coalitions that the UK is leading with our Norwegian and Latvian partners," said Pollard.

The deputy defence secretary did not provide any further details on the matter.

  • In July, the countries participating in the drone coalition signed a Memorandum of Understanding, under which they created a joint fund worth €45 million.
  • In November, Ukraine's Defence Minister Rustem Umierov announced that this year, the countries of the drone coalition would allocate €1.8 billion to support Ukraine's defence forces.
