More than half of EU citizens support military aid to Ukraine – survey
Fifty-eight percent of EU citizens support the purchase and supply of military equipment to Ukraine.

Details: Amid Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, nearly nine out of ten Europeans (87%) agree on providing humanitarian aid to those affected by the war.
Support for economic sanctions against the Russian government, companies, and individuals reached 71% of EU citizens, while 68% back financial assistance to Ukraine.
Six out of ten respondents approve of granting Ukraine candidate status for EU membership, and 58% agree with the EU funding the procurement and delivery of military equipment to Ukraine.
The war in Ukraine remains the top concern at the EU level (31%), followed by immigration (28%) and the international situation (22%). Additionally, 76% of Europeans agree that Russia's invasion of Ukraine poses a threat to EU security.
The Eurobarometer survey was conducted from 10 October to 5 November 2024, across 27 EU member states, with 26,525 citizens interviewed in person. Interviews were also conducted in nine candidate and potential candidate countries (excluding Ukraine) as well as in the UK.
