Ukraine recovers bodies of 502 fallen defenders

Ukraine has recovered the bodies of 502 fallen defenders who served on the Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia fronts and from the territory of the Russian Federation.

Quote: "As a result of repatriation measures, the bodies of 502 fallen defenders have been brought back to the territory controlled by the Ukrainian government."

Details: The report specified that Ukraine recovered the bodies of 397 fallen defenders from the Donetsk front, 24 from the Luhansk front, 64 from the Zaporizhzhia front and 17 from morgues in the Russian Federation.

Ukraine managed to recover the fallen defenders as a result of the joint work of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, the Central Department of Civil-Military Cooperation of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Joint Centre of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Office of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Persons Missing in Special Circumstances, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and other structures of the security and defence sector of Ukraine.
