Explosions rang out in the Ukrainian capital at 7:55; the authorities reported that air defence systems were operating.

Background: At around 06:00, residents of the capital and Kyiv Oblast heard the sounds of air defence responding to a threat. Reportedly, Ukrainian air defence was responding to Russian drones.
