Zelenskyy: All Ukrainian schoolchildren to receive free meals in 2025

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has instructed the government to ensure free meals for all school students.

Details: During his speech, Zelenskyy also announced the launch of the Education Support Programme for veterans' children in 2025.
He highlighted that this year, 2,200 Ukrainian veterans have already received new education at vocational training centres.

- Since 1 October this year, primary school students (grades 1-4) have been receiving one free meal per day at schools. The government allocated 2 billion hryvnias to implement this initiative.
- Previously, only students eligible for benefits were provided with hot meals, funded by local budgets.
