Quote: "Threats were directed at journalists, celebrities, and everyday residents. These acts of intimidation follow one goal: to sow panic and fear, making people frightened to come to the polls," the Moldovan PM said.

He assured that Moldovan state structures "will ensure the order and protection of citizens," and called on citizens to come to the presidential election on Sunday.

Earlier, a journalist from the Moldovan portal NewsMaker reported that she received a death threat. An anonymous caller claimed that they know where the journalist lives and has the ability to kill her. "Make a choice in favour of Maia Sandu and save your life," the audio message instructed.
