Ukrainian energy company DTEK’s CEO Dmytro Sakharuk has explained what the recommendation to Ukrainians to "rely on themselves" this winter means.
Source: Sakharuk in a comment to Telegraf.
Details: He stressed that it is necessary to rely on the employees that restore the destroyed energy sector and prepare it for the winter by ensuring gas and coal production and repairing generation facilities.
However, according to Sakharuk, Ukrainians have probably also prepared for potential difficulties.
"As for everyone, people here have probably prepared a lot over the past two years. They have installed generators, bought batteries and many other things," he said.
Background:
- Earlier, DTEK's CEO said that Ukrainians should think about what they can do for themselves to get through the next winter.
- "Rely on yourself. I am not joking. Everything is in our hands and depends on each of us. If everyone thinks about what they can do to get through the next winter and does something about it, they will definitely have an easier winter," he said.
