The reasons for his departure were not specified by Ukraine's Defence Ministry.

Background: In September 2024, Ukrainian MP Mariana Bezuhla posted on social media that Defence Minister Umierov had relieved Voronchenko of his duties after the latter reported at the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Headquarters on the disastrous situation regarding training in the Armed Forces' training centres. There was no official confirmation of this at the time.
