Six civilians killed in Russian attack on port infrastructure in Odesa Oblast
Russian forces launched a missile attack on the port infrastructure of Odesa Oblast on the evening of 9 October, claiming the lives of six people and leaving eleven others injured. A civilian Panama-flagged vessel has been damaged.

Quote: "Five people have been killed and nine injured in yet another ballistic missile attack by Russian terrorists on the port infrastructure of Odesa Oblast.
All those injured are Ukrainians. They are currently receiving medical assistance, and five of them are in a serious condition."
Details: Kuleba noted that a civilian vessel flying the Panamanian flag, the container ship Shui Spirit, had been damaged in the attack. This is the third foreign-registered vessel to have been hit by Russia in the last four days.
Update: Kiper reported that the death toll from the attack has risen to six. Eight civilians have been injured, four of whom are in a serious condition.
At 23:31, Kiper reported that the number of people injured as a result of the Russian missile strike had increased to 11. Seven of them are in critical condition.
Background:
- On the night of 5-6 October, Russian forces bombarded Odesa with Shahed loitering munitions, damaging a civilian cargo ship.
- On 7 October, the Russians struck the port infrastructure in Odesa with ballistic missiles, hitting a civilian Palau-flagged vessel. The attack left a 60-year-old Ukrainian man dead and five foreign nationals injured.
