Ukrainian forces attack Shahed UAV storage facility in Russia's Krasnodar Krai
Ukrainian forces attacked a facility containing Shahed loitering munitions near the settlement of Oktyabrsky in Russia's Krasnodar Krai on 9 October.

Details: Available information indicates that approximately 400 loitering munitions were stored at the facility. Objective monitoring confirmed a precise hit on the target. A secondary detonation occurred on the premises of the facility.
The General Staff reports that the destruction of the Shahed UAV storage facility will substantially diminish the capacity of Russian forces to terrorise civilians in Ukraine.
Background:
- On the night of 8-9 October, the governors of Russia's Krasnodar Krai and Bryansk Oblast reported that their regions had been targeted by drones, which were allegedly shot down, resulting in minor damage from the wreckage.
- The Russian Defence Ministry claimed that air defence units had shot down 47 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory and the Sea of Azov on the night of 8-9 October.
