Macron meets Ukrainian soldiers training in France and wishes them success – photos
On 9 October, French President Emmanuel Macron visited Ukrainian soldiers from the 155th Brigade who are undergoing training in France’s eastern region of Grand Est and wished them success.

"I want to wish you success! For our part, we will make every effort to train you as best as we can," Macron said.

Details: According to Ukrinform, Macron spent over half an hour speaking with the Ukrainian soldiers, approaching each one in turn and asking where and how long they had served and what specific training they needed.
The colonel overseeing the training stated that it was going very well. "The Ukrainian soldiers are progressing faster than we expected," he said, adding that the French instructors are adapting the programme to meet Ukrainian needs.

- Earlier, Macron posted footage of the Ukrainian soldiers training and said 2,300 soldiers are currently in the programme.
- In September, the French Armed Forces announced that the first group of Ukrainian pilots had completed Alpha Jet training.
