Quote: "To maximise the preservation of Ukrainian soldiers’ lives, the Commander-in-Chief has decided to reinforce medical services in combat zones with specialised medical personnel. This includes stabilisation points within military units and detachments."

Medical personnel from healthcare facilities of the Medical Forces Command will be mobilised to fulfil requests from commanders of combat units. The General Staff assured that military medics are not being "transferred to infantry" and will continue working in their specialisations.

Quote: "A doctor cannot be trained in a month; such a specialist requires a suitable level of education and professional experience. With the current high intensity of combat, there is a significant need for these experts in combat units."

Previously:  the Medical Forces Command highlighted a shortage of combat medics while noting high rates of wounded soldiers returning to service.
